Shadforth Parish Council Election - 1st May 2025

Parish Councillors can make a difference to the quality of the life of local people.  Shadforth Parish Council needs people from all backgrounds and experiences to put themselves forward for election.  Head over to our new website for questions and answers about the Parish Council and what is involved in becoming a Parish Councillor that may help you decide to get involved:  shadforthparishcouncil.gov.uk

The election process will begin on Thursday 20th March 2025 with the publication of the Notice of Election.

 

Anyone who wishes to be on the Parish Council from May onwards must complete and return paper copies of their nomination papers.  Nomination Packs are available on our website for the Wards of Shadforth, Ludworth and Sherburn Hill, or email the Clerk for a copy of the Pack you would like to stand for.

 

Nomination papers must be hand delivered to County Hall, Durham, DH1 5UL from Friday 21 March to Wednesday 2 April 2025, between the hours of 10am - 4pm.

 

 

 

Nomination Packs are also available from electoral services by emailing http://Electoralservices@durham.gov.uk or by calling 03000 261212.

 

Complete candidate nomination forms (paper copies) must be delivered by hand (by the candidate or someone they trust) to the Returning Officer at County Hall, Durham within the period specified above.
